{Vendor Love} Sweet Creations By Judy

Sweet Creations by Judy is a one of a kind, custom, candy displays that can be seen at bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, and weddings. Judy Horn purchases one-of-a-kind candy to fit the clients party colors and theme. She has created several candy buffets at our facility for various clients and each one is always mouth watering to look at, visually appealing, and delicious of course.  In her own words Judy is, “The person at every event people love… who doesn’t love the candy lady?” Judy’s passion is candy buffets.

Candy buffets are a wonderful addition to weddings and special events, it is a way to say thank you to your guest by letting them pick out their candy. When choosing who will do your candy buffet keep a couple of things in mind. First, a candy buffet should always have an attendant to refill, keep clean, and to keep it looking good throughout the night. Second, if you are thinking about doing one yourself think about how many decorative containers you will have to buy, not to mention the candy. It takes hours to get the ribbons, labels, and accents just right. When booking a candy buffet or popcorn bar, remember booking earlier is better because I will only do one wedding per day. I strongly believe this is a special day and so I devote my full attention to you and your wedding.

When planing your wedding remember, have fun! Take time for yourself. Have a massage, go out with friends, have a nice dinner just you and your fiance and don’t talk wedding plans.

{Vendor Love} Pesiri Photo

A wedding, destinations, and family portrait photographer

IMG_5038

What Joseph Pesiri enjoys most as a photographer is, “I Love the stories I get to tell with my photos. I get to capture a moment in time that someone gets to look back on for the rest of there lives.” He has a few tips for brides and grooms when it comes time for them to pick a photographer for the big day.

When picking a photographer m
ake a connection and pick someone you want to work with. After all , you will be spending a lot of time with them. You need to be able to enjoy yourself and feel relaxed around them. If you are not enjoying yourself it will show in your pictures.

Don’t let money be the deciding factor when choosing the right photographer. Out of every thing you will spend money on for your wedding your photographs are the only thing you will have to look back on for the rest of your life together.

Even if you are more than a year out from your big day, book early. You should book your photographer as soon as you have a date. This will assure you get the photographer you wanted. Booking early can save you money and you get the photographer you want. Most good photographers book up fast and chances are the one you want will be booked at least 9-12 months out. You can do this two ways: one, strike a great deal with your photographer and two, know that pricing can change at any time so if you like the deal, take it! The prices could change next time you talk to the photographer you wanted.

My best piece of advice  for engaged couples is, don’t hire your friend’s friend that has a nice camera. I hear it all the time. ‘My friend takes great photos of her kids and she said she will do it’. That sounds great, but what a lot of amateur photographer don’t take into considerations is the time and experiences involved. The job of a good photographer is more than just showing up for a few hours and shooting some photos.Your photographer needs to be your shadow, understand lighting, know how to pose you and your wedding party, and not stop for a few minutes to talk to your friends. Another thing to keep in mind, does your friend have back up camera equipment or someone who they can call to cover them in case of an emergency? Then, processing and editing images after the wedding. This could take a few full days or weeks to get done. Your friend probably has a full-time job of their own therefore making your photos not as important to them as they are to you. I love the idea of saving money but,do not sacrifice your memories.

{Vendor Love} Origami Owl

livinglocket-2

Here is a little background straight from the founder of Origami Owl

HELLO THERE

When I founded Origami Owl in 2010 I had little idea that the company would be the success that it is today. At the time, I was 14 and started with a simple goal to earn enough money to buy a car for my 16th birthday. In the beginning I sold Living Lockets at home parties and events. As word spread about our unique jewelry line, we continually heard from women who wanted to know how they could bring Origami Owl to their family and friends. They were the inspiration behind what would be the future of our company. Today we proudly partner with thousands of women across the country who run their own Origami Owl businesses. Their success has been our motivation!

Our mission is the heart of our company. We are united in the desire:

TO BE A FORCE FOR GOOD;
TO LOVE, INSPIRE + MOTIVATE
WOMEN OF ALL AGES TO REACH THEIR DREAMS + EMPOWER THEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

Have a blast creating meaningful jewelry for you or someone you love. We’re just getting started and there is a lot more fun in store for the future!
