This wonderful couple wed at a family friends estate on May 17, 2014.

It was a gorgeous wedding all around, from the perfect shade of pink pastel dresses on the bridesmaids and flower girls, to the great shade of gray on all the gentlemen and of course the beautiful bride who was beaming from ear to ear and looked spectacular the entire day.

The ceremony took place in the entryway of this amazing estate so the bridal party could use the amazing grand staircase. It was truly a grand entrance into the ceremony and great place to take photos.

The cocktail hour took place on the multilevel back patios. A perfect place to mix and mingle while the bride and groom took  some photos.

The reception followed on the lower portion of the property where they called in All Occasion Rentals who set up an enchanting white tent, tables, chairs, candles, centerpieces, the dance floor and draping and finished it all off with just enough lighting to keep it romantic and a chandelier to keep it elegant.

The whole day was captured by a fabulous photographer Jodi B. and a special thanks for sharing all the photos!

{Happy Anniversary} Thrasher’s

Love, happiness, friends, and family only added to Chelsey and Greg’s beautiful wedding on September 2, 2011. The couple had their ceremony in our courtyard location at a Country Club surrounded by their family and friends.

The reception was decorated in white linen and accented with red roses and napkins.  The favors boxes were adorable! Placed at each setting were detailed boxes dressed as a bride and a groom that had a sweet, chocolate treat inside. Small, freshly bloomed, red roses were placed in the center of each table with  a black and white swirl ribbon wrapped around the vases. Strewn around the centerpieces were red and white crystals that added to the perfectly paired table.

The Adorable Favor Boxes!

Instead of a guest book Chelsey and Greg had guests leave their best wishes on a photo mat.

The stunning three-tiered cake was provided by Olivera’s and featured chocolate, strawberry, and raspberry mouse. Instead of a cake stand the baker utilize five water goblets that were slightly filled with water and a few rose petals. It brought height as well as a touch of splendor to the cake. Olivera’s did an amazing job incorporating the flower and ribbon details of the centerpieces into the cake.

Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Thrasher!

{Happy Anniversary} Dreher’s

Happy Anniversary Jennifer and Christopher Dreher!

They were married on May 13, 2011. Their ceremony highlight, besides the stunning bride would have to be the altar site with a beautiful arch draped in tulle and adorned with Hydrangea . Their color scheme welcomed spring with pastel hues of lavender and green. They used fully bloomed Hydrangeas in the center of each table as well as 2 framed childhood photos of the bride and groom. They embraced the groom’s family tradition and used his grandmothers cake cutting set that has been used by previous generations on their special day.

First and foremost, decide what facets of your wedding are most important to you.  Focus on areas that make your heart go pitter-patter, and you’ll feel OK about skimping on the rest.

As for what guests tend to remember, according to a survey conducted by St. Louis Bride and Groom magazine, 81 percent of guests say the entertainment is the most memorable part of a wedding.

A Winter White Wonderland Wedding

enchanted-forest-mwds109266_vert

Abby spent many family vacations in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and always knew that she would get married there some day. But even though she and her future husband, Cliff, had dated since high school in Mobile, Alabama, she didn’t initially peg him as the groom. Four years of long distance on-again, off-again later, they got serious. She moved back to Cliff in Mobile, and a year and a half later, he proposed.

Abby wasn’t fazed by the prospect of long-distance wedding planning, and with the help of a planner, the couple pulled off a glamorous ski-lodge wedding, with bursts of metallic gold to play off Colorado’s snowy landscape.

{Tuesday Tip} Finalizing the Flower Details

untitled-12Make sure to finalize all your wedding day details with your florist.  Confirm delivery details and decided which arrangements will be moved from the ceremony to the reception site.

Don’t forget to plan for someone to move these items if your florist will not be on site after the ceremony to do so.  If space and time allows we recommend moving all your ceremony flowers to your reception to fully enjoy them on your wedding day.

Also plan where those beautiful bouquets will be placed during the reception.

{Tuesday Tip} Color Over It With Chalk

Chalk.

Keep a stick of white chalk handy while you’re getting ready. In the event that you spill or  brush your dress against something take a stick of chalk and lightly “color” over the stain. Chalk is great for footprints on your train.  The chalk will mask an unwanted splashes of color and keep your dress in pristine condition. Chalk is also fantastic for occupying bored flower girls and ring bearers. So keep some chalk on hand.
