{Real Wedding Decorations} Proffitt Wedding

Old 1920 glamour and a crafty bride with a flair for flower arrangements made Sunday, October 9, 2011 an enchanting ceremony and reception.

Jamie and Brad were married in our courtyard ceremony location and decorated the altar site with swirling topiary trees and a wrought iron arch with green foliage and hydrangeas. We were in awe of Jamie’s gorgeous dress! The swooping back, small cap sleeves, lace detail, and small train summed up everything this bride envisioned for her wedding. We couldn’t help but gaze at Jamie throughout the evening. Not only did she look  like a glamorous film star she was beaming with happiness.

The reception room was decorated in ivory  floor length linen, ivory chair covers, ivory napkins, and champagne organza sashes. Centerpieces included green vases with pale green hydrangeas, purple roses, and branch accents that the bride created with her friend and bridesmaid. Each table also had a gold frame with its designated table number.

Each guest received a small party favor as well as a save the date card for guests to view the evenings photos provided by Andrea’s Photography.

Jamie and Brad had a creative and personal guest book. Contained in a frame was a photo of a bare tree with two pink love birds perched on a branch. Guests were asked to dip a finger in a green stamp pad and place their print on a branch of their choice to cover the newly blossomed Proffitt tree with their  presence. This will provide a wonderful piece of art to hang in their home.

The twinkling lights in the chandelier draping, provided by Unique Weddings and Flowers, was the finishing compliment to the romantic and vintage room decor. Jamie hung a wooden sign with three hearts over the family’s table from the center of the chandelier. The first heart had Mr. and Mrs. Proffitt handwritten in the center the two, smaller, dangling hearts had the children’s names. The family sat in the center of the room, surround by their family and friends.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple decorated a manzanita cupcake tower with sweet treats from Truly, Madly, Sweetly. Also included on the table were two framed photos of the couple’s two children sampling the cupcakes, two bottles of wine decorated in wedding attire, a lush flower arrangement, and a glass lantern.

Jamie did a wonderful job transforming the room into a beautiful, comfortable, and mesmerizing escape for the evening. She did a perfect job combining old Hollywood glamour with vintage, personal, family touches.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Proffitt!
