San Diego Style Magazine Fall Release Party

The C&C Team had yet another amazing time at the San Diego Style Wedding Magazine Release Party. As we walked to the check in table at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe we were delighted to see the carnival themed circus tents across the lawn, balloons,  and the faint smell of delicious deep-fried treats.

The carnival theme was executed in every part of the decor and presentation. After checking in, we received a small bag filled with party tickets that were used at the various booths for food, entertainment, and drinks.

As we wandered around the lawns of Rancho Santa Fe we became enamored with the amazing talents of the florists and decorators who put the unique, finishing touches on the carnival themed party. Tailored Florals utilized clown shoes to display their beautiful yellow daisies, Jolie Fleur had beautiful red arrangements displayed in red pails, and Whimsy Florals utilized empty gum ball machines and popcorn boxes to showcase their unique flowers.

Aside from the amazing flowers, there were also painted, free-standing props of elephants, a circus ringleader, and hilarious carnival cutouts featuring side-show attractions like the Fat Lady, clowns, and the Muscle Man.

Now for the food portion! We enjoyed delicious cupcakes from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company. Our favorite  featured a fun fetti cupcake topped with a  chocolate covered marshmallow puff with sprinkles. It was delicious! The gigantic animal cookies were also amazing! Sensational Treats whipped up delicious blue cotton candy, deep-fried Oreos, and mini doughnuts. The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe served spicy Kung Pow Chicken with Jasmine Rice in tiny red take out boxes complete with a set of chopsticks. Tailored Sweets had an amazing display of sweets we could not help but marvel over. We were obsessed with the hamburger cupcakes, ice cream cone cake pops, cherry cola, cake truffles, lollipops, and cotton candy.

To quench our thirst we enjoyed loaded Lemonade served in mason jars with custom straws. It was the perfect complement to the sweet treats. Later in the evening, we had to stop by our favorite booth, the Euro Bar to enjoy a warm vanilla bean latte.

Ticket? Check. Latte? Check.

We used our entertainment tickets to receive an enticing physic reading. Our favorite entertainer from the previous release party Dave, the artist behind our hilarious cartoon caricature, was at it again creating caricatures of our fellow party guests. Our favorite entertainment booth was The Foto Box. The amazing husband and wife team, Michael and Denise Gunter,  had silly props and glasses guests could utilize in their self designed photo booth. We couldn’t help but pick the glasses that reminded us of Elton John and Elvis Presley.
