{Real Wedding Decorations} Palmer Wedding

A little monsoonal weather couldn’t stop Amanda and Jim’s wedding on Sunday, July 31, 2011. Luckily the morning rain, thunder, and lightning  tapered off by mid afternoon and allowed the sun to dry off the dewy greens. The ceremony took place on the lush golf course overlooking the lake and no amount of rain or thunder, which Amanda would have gladly welcomed, was  going to tamper her dream ceremony site.  Her heart was set on getting married on the golf course and mother nature made it happen. Luck was definitely on their side and showed its presence when a small ladybug landed on Jim’s cheek during the ceremony.

Amanda and Jim had a small, intimate ceremony and reception with 62 guests. Amanda’s dress was STUNNING! It had a beaded corset top, a large skirt with pickups decorated with small beaded flowers and feather accents, and finished off with a cathedral length train. The feather details in her dress and bouquet made it unique and one of a kind.

The Palmer wedding was all about details. Each item on the table had its own “wow” factor you couldn’t help but notice. The champagne glasses and cake cutting set had a unique, swirling, heart decal, there were mini martini glasses filled with navy blue wrapped chocolate balls at each table, monogrammed favor bags and Hershey kisses with the bride and groom’s name and wedding date, gorgeous votives that had sparkly, jeweled trims,  red and white wine bottles with custom-made wine labels for guest to enjoy, disposable wedding camera for guest’s to capture the evenings special moments, and beautiful floral arrangements provided by LA Floral. LA Floral did a magnificent  job on the reception and ceremony floral arrangements. The centerpieces included tinted blue Hydrangeas, white roses, and a swirl of greenery that graceful peeked out of the center of the flowers. The  silver accents against the ivory linens, and blue organza overlays were paired perfectly.

The bejeweled candles on the head table and guest book table were by far our favorite. Each candle had a jeweled band around it and was decorated with intricately placed diamonds. Once the sun set the candles enveloped the room in their twinkling, glowing, candle light.

Guests dined on freshly carved Prime Rib, Salmon in a Lemon Herb Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Almondine, and fresh sour dough rolls. Tasteful Cakes created a beautiful 3 tiered cake for dessert. Flavors included white cake batter with raspberry filling and lemon mousse, chocolate and white cake with chocolate mousse, and another layer of chocolate and white cake only this time with dulce de leche mousse. Tasteful cakes did a wonderful job incorporating the pearl and sparkle details and the ladies of LA Floral added just enough feather and floral details to complete the cake decorations.

Amanda and Jim were beaming with happiness. The arrangements, fashion, decor, weather, and guests could not have been better. It was wonderful having cheerful friends and family of the new Mr. and Mrs. Palmer at the country club to celebrate the union of two lovely people.

Be Marry,
