Wedding Story

Once upon a time. . .

How did you meet?

We actually met on E-Harmony. I saw Chris’ photo and loved his smile; it took up the entire post. We started talking and two years later he proposed.

Describe the proposal.

On our second anniversary Chris planned out a romantic dinner for two at Sevilla in Riverside. After dinner, we walked around the Mission Inn and he proposed. He was so nervous and so cute.

 Your Fairytale come True . . .

What personal touches did you incorporate into your wedding?

We had photos of Chris and I growing up on the tables. On the hutch we displayed wedding photos of our parents and grandparents. For the ceremony, Chris’ uncle played and sang ‘ The Wedding Song ‘ , his cousin did a reading, and a family friend played while we lit our unity candle.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Seeing Chris for the first time. My brother escorted me up the aisle and when we reached the top of the stairs I saw Chris and my heart jumped right out of my chest. I lost my breath for a moment.

What menu did you choose?

The Italian menu. We had Caesar Salad, Antipasto Display, Chicken Primavera, Chicken Picatta, Italian Seasoned Vegetables, and Garlic Bread.

Describe your cake.

My maid of honor made our cake. Strawberry filling with banana cake. Three tiers with ivory fondant and pearls.

What flowers did you use?

Hydrangeas

What was your something blue, borrowed, old, new?

My dress and shoes were new, I borrowed my mom’s money purse, wore my grandmother’s pearls, and carried her blue handkerchief.

Describe your shoes.

Simple, ivory, kitten heel, open toed.

What accessories did you wear?

My grandmother’s pearl necklace, earrings, and bracelet.

Describe your dress.

Nothing flashy, ivory, elegant, with a small flower, and sequin embellishments.

What were the highlights of  your ceremony?

Marrying Chris.

Did you have any vendor or D.J. highlights?

Our DJ, from High Society Services, was amazing! He had everyone in place and kept the night flowing.

Did you have a theme for your ceremony or reception?

Simple and elegant.

Your Happily Ever After. . .

We wanted to travel so we visited San Francisco, Washington, and Lake Tahoe. As for our future, we want to start a family in the coming years and eventually move to a small community with four seasons, maybe Washington.
